Prepare for Monday’s quiz
In this very short timed quiz I will ask you to:Some questions will ask you to indicate the register as well, using standard octave numbering (middle C = C4). Here is a direct teoría link to practice naming notes (these settings are almost the same as for the last exercise, but including accidentals now). You may reset the answer input method to any of the options (letter name, visual keyboard, etc.). The speed you need for the quiz is less than that of the teoría exercise at the specified tempo of Largo; if you can do that, you will be more than fast enough to ace the quiz, provided you also practice writing whole step and half steps.
- identify pitches on the staff, in both treble and bass clefs
- identify pitches on a keyboard diagram
- write specified pitches, neatly and clearly, on the staff
- identify half steps and whole steps
- write specified intervals above or below a given note (by any name: half/whole steps; semitone; minor/major second)
- distinguish between diatonic and chromatic half steps
This teoría link is for quiz prep only; you do not need to submit your teoría results this time.
